What is Rise mental health?
The result was ‘Rise’: the new emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people in the county. It’s designed to be a truly integrated service, focused on prevention, early intervention and the outcomes that matter to young people.

What is Rise service?
RISE provides assessment and short-term treatment, and helps individuals to access other support services. In include helping people break a cycle of addiction to substances such as heroin, cocaine, and new psychoactive substance as well as long term alcohol addiction.
What is CAMHS called now?
Children and young people’s mental health services (CYPMHS) is used as a term for all services that work with children and young people who have difficulties with their mental health or wellbeing. You may also see the term children and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) used.
What is core Camhs?
Core CAMHS provides a specialist assessment and treatment service to children and young people up to 18 years of age who are experiencing significant emotional or mental health difficulties. A Key worker is allocated to remain with each family throughout their time with CAMHS.
What is CAMHS rise?
CAMHS RISE – Rapid Intervention, Support and Empowerment. A rapid response service for GPs and others in primary care to ensure the best possible support for young people who have seriously self-harmed or are having suicidal thoughts.
What do CAMHS crisis team do?
The team offer mental health assessment to young people presenting to hospital with acute mental health needs and/or self harm.

RISE was founded in 1987 and our purpose has remained constant for more than 30 years – To Create Opportunities for and with People.
What are the 4 tiers of CAMHS?

- Tier 1. Services at this level are provided by practitioners who are not mental health specialists working in universal services; this includes GPs, health visitors, school nurses, teachers, social workers, youth justice workers and voluntary agencies.
