As soon as Gotoh, Canary, and Amane try to chase after Killua, they encounter Hisoka who confronts them. The two of them skirmish both utilizing their Nen capabilities to the fullest extent, but in the end, Hisoka gains the upper hand and kills Gotoh, by tricking him in a decoy attack.
Why did Hisoka kill Gotoh?
There didn’t seem to be anything in it for him. Hisoka likes killing, that is what is in it for him. Plus he was hired by Illumi to help kill Alluka, and as Gotoh was helping both Killua and Alluka escape, then it makes sense to kill him there and then.
