DLM Testlets assess a variety of Essential Elements and linkage levels, in English language arts and mathematics, from grade 3 through high school. Some testlets are administered by teachers or other qualified test administrators, who use instructions on the screen to guide the student through the test.

Why must a first contact survey be completed and submitted for each student?
The First Contact survey, which determines the best linkage level for the first time the student uses the system, must also completed or reviewed and updated and submitted prior to the assessment.
How many Testlets are in DLM?
A. Students in all tested grades will receive 9 testlets in ELA and 6-8 testlets in mathematics, depending on the student’s grade. Students in grades 4 and 8-11 will receive 9 testlets in science.
When does DLM testing end in New Jersey?
