Yes they do keep liquid cool. Best method I have found is to quarter fill them and put in the freezer overnight. I have put this to the test during trips to Adelaide during the heat at TDU time and has worked well.

How do you get mold out of a CamelBak bladder?

- Gently scrub any visible mold off the inside of the reservoir.
- Fill the bladder with warm water.
- Add half a teaspoon of bleach (two tablespoons of baking soda or 2 cups of white vinegar can be used instead, but do not mix)
- Close the reservoir and let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes.
