What is the Centre line method?
Centre to centre line method is one of the methods for preparing an estimate. In this method first, calculate the centre line length of the wall, and then multiply it with the breadth and depth of the wall to find out quantity.
How do you find the center line method?
First, we need to calculate the total center line length of the building.
- Total center line length = 2 x 5.3 + 2 x 4.3 = 19.2 m.
- Earthwork in excavation = Total center line length x breadth x depth.
- Concrete in foundation = 19.2 x 0.9 x 0.3 = 5.18 cu.m.
- a) Brickwork in foundation for 1st footing = 19.2 x 0.6 x 0.3 cu.m.
What is Centre line method explain with diagram?
In centre line method, total centre line length of all the walls is first measured, provided walls are of same type, long and short having same cross section and same type of footings. After the calculation of centre line length, it is multiplied with the breadth and depth correspondingly to find the total quantity.
What are the different types of estimation?
In this article, we’ll cover the following types of estimates:
- Preliminary Estimate.
- Detailed Estimate.
- Quantity Estimate.
- Bid Estimate.
What is mid section formula?
In this formula, the mean depth is to be calculated. First by avergaing the depths of two consecutive sections. From the mean-depth the area of mid-section is to be worked out and volume of arthwork to be compted by multiplying the area of mid-secion by the distance between the two original sections.
What is the difference between Centre line method and long or short wall method?
The length and breadth are taken from the plan, while the height or depth are taken from the section and elevations. In long wall and short wall method the walls are taken separately, while in the centre line method, the centre line lengths of all the walls are combined.
What are types of estimates?
In this article, we’ll cover the following types of estimates: Preliminary Estimate. Detailed Estimate. Quantity Estimate.
How do you set up a building?
STEPS
- Site clearance.
- Obtain the architect or building plan.
- Get the necessary materials ready (i.e. pegs, nails, rope or line, hammer, tape, marking tool etc)
- Firstly, take note of the four corners where we have the proposed columns/pillars or as case might be.
Which is an example of the centre line method?
Elements of Building Estimate use Centre-Line Method Example, By Long and Short wall Method Center to Center length of long walls = 3 + (2 x 0.115) = 3.3 m Center to Center length of long walls = 2.5 + (2 x 0.115) = 2.80 m
How to calculate the length of a center line?
Total centre line length = 2 x (Length of main wall 1 + Length of main wall 2) + 3 x (Length of partition wall) Total centre line length = 2 x (5.3 + 5.3) + 3 x 4.3 = 34.1 m Earthwork in excavation = Total centre line length x Breadth x Depth. = 34.1 x 0.9 x (3 x 0.3)
How to center a string using String.format?
In the case of text that’s longer than the specified length, mine consistently returns a substring of the specified length that’s rooted at the beginning of the original text. This is another way to place a string in center.
How to center a print statement text in Java?
There were a bunch of terminal standards vt100, vt200, vt220, ansi, that came about at various points in terminal development history and hundreds of proprietary ones along the way. These terminals could do positioning of cursors and windowing and colors, highlight text, underline etc. but not everyone could do everything.
