Are Edinburgh trams still running?
As we continue to welcome more customers back to using our services, there is still travel guidance in place to ensure that everyone feels safe on the tram. Trams are running from every 7 minutes between the Airport and City centre throughout the daytime and every 10 minutes in the early morning and late evening.
Where does Edinburgh tram go?
The Edinburgh tram route covers 14km from York Place in the city centre all the way to Edinburgh Airport. Connect with trains at Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park Station and Haymarket. Waverley Station is just a short walk from St Andrew Square.
What time do trams start in Edinburgh?
Timetable. The first tram leaves the city centre at 5.30am every day, and the first departing from the airport leaves at 6.15am. You can catch the tram every ten minutes before 7am, every seven minutes between 7am and 7pm, and every ten minutes again after 7pm.

Timetables. From York Place, trams run from 5:29 am until 11:08 pm. The first tram leaves from the airport at 6:15 am and the last one leaves at 10:45 pm. Trams operate every 8 – 10 minutes from Monday to Saturday and every 12 – 15 minutes on Sunday.
How do you pay for the tram in Edinburgh?
Every tram stop has ticket vending machines where you can buy Single, Return and DAYtickets. Our ticket vending machines accept most debit and credit cards including American Express as well as 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins. No change is given.

Free travel for over-60s on trams in Edinburgh could be scrapped as the city council moves to save money. Concessionary fares, which are available to over-60s who live in the capital, are subsidised by the council. Bus fares are paid for nationally by the Scottish government.
