Can you take your caravan to El Questro?
Can I bring a caravan to El Questro? A. Whilst we do recommend off road caravans and campers, many other caravans do make the trip into The Station. Please note that there is a 16km unsealed section with two water crossings being approximately 300-500mm in depth.

Located on the iconic Gibb River Road, El Questro is owned by the American company Delaware North and is visited each year by thousands of tourists which flock to the station for its waterfalls, gorges and fishing.
Is there a shop at El Questro?
El Questro Camping Services & Amenities The Cafe and Retail Shop is open from 6:30am until 7:00pm. There are three amenities blocks located throughout the campground each with laundry facilities attached.
Do you need a snorkel for Gibb River Road?
You wont need a snorkel for river crossings on the Gibb River Road that time of year, but if its very dry your air filter would not get quite as dusty if you had one.
How long do you need at El Questro?
You need to stay at least one night, with two being the absolute minimum I’d recommend. 3 or 4 is much more comfortable for you to enjoy your stay. El Questro was truly a highlight on our journey along the Gibb River road, and so it should be for everyone.
Is El Questro on the Gibb River Road?
From Kununurra, El Questro Station is 110 kms west: 58 kms on the Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham, 36 kms on a sealed section of the Gibb River Road, with the remaining 16 kms on a gravel road. You will need a 4WD to get into El Questro Station.

We recommend you use an off-road caravan if you intend to drive the Gibb River Road. Standard caravans are not suitable. Kununurra Engineering (08 91693570) also offer caravan storage in Kununurra. Many of the attractions along the Gibb River Road are set up to accommodate camping.
What does El Questro mean?
Our destination was El Questro, a million acre cattle station / tourist resort, priced to suit every budget. The centre of El Questro (which, incidentally, from the Spanish I picked up in South America means “The Questro” – check it on Babelfish) is 16km and a couple of creek crossings south of the Gibb River Road.
Is the Gibb River Road suitable for caravans?
Gibb River Road Standard caravans are not suitable. There are several options to store your caravan in Broome and surrounds and consider hiring camping equipment instead. In Broome, Keshi Storage and Progressive Supplies offer caravan storage.
