IT'S OFFICIAL - THE CRAVEN COUNTRY JAMBOREE SELLS OUT FOR THE FOURTH STRAIGHT YEAR!
We hope you didn't get left at the gate!
Festival organizers announced today that the World's Greatest Country Music Festival has indeed lived up to its name and sold out for the fourth straight year. That's right, with more than two months left to go until the first country music star takes to the stage, we have no more room in the valley.
"We're excited and really thankful, all at the same time," said Brian Andrews, show producer. "Six years ago, we had a vision and a passion for this festival, but we really didn't know if it would be embraced by the fans. Well now we have our answer! Another sellout and even earlier than last year. The support of our fans, our sponsors, and this community is overwhelming and a big thank you must go out to everyone who continues to support this event."
The first ever sell out on the Jamboree site happened in 2007 on the Sunday of the festival. In 2008, the show sold out one week before the event. In 2009, it sold out on May 22. This year marks the earliest sellout in festival history. A sell-out also means millions of tourism dollars will pour into Saskatchewan again during the week of the festival, July 15-18, 2010.
"The Craven Country Jamboree has become much more than just a music festival over the past six years - it has become a vacation destination, attracting people from all over the world, and from our own back yard," said Kim Blevins, director of Marketing. "We are also proud to be a community event, giving back on several different levels. From tourism dollars that pour into the province each year, to the people we employ, to our continued support of local charitable groups, we are proud to say that the Craven Country Jamboree is part of the fabric of this community."
Festival organizers are now turning their attention to the site, to ensure everyone coming to experience the Craven Country Jamboree walks away with the best memories of the summer. Watch for additional announcements in the coming weeks.
